Welcome to All About Me(lanie)!

I am a fourth year English education major, hoping to teach high school English. I am currently student teaching at Riverside University High School along with tutoring for SPARK (a reading intervention program), and participating in the LAWTON program through UWM as a peer mentor. 

This past summer, I had the opportunity to work as an Arts and Crafts Specialist for a summer camp. I was able work with  kids ranging from 8-17 years old, while also spending time in nature, it was a dream!

Some online resources that I was recently introduced to are Teachers Pay Teachers and Noredink. Teachers Pay Teachers is a website full of education resources created by other teachers, such as general worksheets, lessons, outlines, and more. Noredink is an online writing platform that provides individualized learning for students that can aid in a teachers understanding of where a student is with English.
