#7 - Why We Need Clean and Sustainable Water: A PSA

Any opportunity to embark on the creation of a multimodal project, is always one that I am excited to take on. With my infographic/PSA, I got the opportunity to utilize the combination of image and text elements to convey the message of the importance of clean and sustainable water.
This multimodal project influenced my thinking regarding water accessibility and the text, The Water Princess, because I had to identity the most important elements and messages to include on this brief infographic/PSA. As, for this multimodal project in particular, the goal is to select the most important and necessary info to display using a quick accessible flyer-like layout. That way, the message of awareness is more likely to be spread as more are easily guided to this information and message.
From my own experience, this infographic/PSA project could be used within a classroom to guide learning, as students can practice summarization skills to successfully influence or promote civic engagement. As I had to do, students would be led to find the most important and influential facts within their cause. Moreover, more students could be inspired to make chance as this multimodal project is rather easy and accessible to achieve, which further raises their confidence in the possibility of inspiring or advocating for change.
